Vanuatu vatu (VUV)

Currency

The Vanuatu vatu, coded as VUV and symbolized as VT, is the official currency of Vanuatu. Introduced in 1982 to replace the New Hebrides franc following national independence, it is issued by the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu. Unlike many national currencies, the vatu does not use subunit denominations such as cents, operating entirely as a single integer unit due to historical inflation dynamics.
