Tunisian dinar (TND)

Currency

The Tunisian dinar (ISO code: TND) was officially established as the currency of Tunisia in 1958, replacing the Tunisian franc at a rate of 1,000 francs per dinar. Issued by the Central Bank of Tunisia, it is subdivided into 1,000 millimes rather than the conventional hundredths. The dinar is subject to strict exchange regulations, making its export or import out of the country restricted by law to protect national reserves.
