Sudanese pound (SDG)

Currency

The Sudanese pound (symbol: SD or £SD, code: SDG) is the official currency of Sudan, subdivided into 100 piastres. Issued by the Central Bank of Sudan, the current Sudanese pound was introduced in 2007 following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, replacing the Sudanese dinar at a rate of 1 pound to 100 dinars. Sudan has historically redefined its official currency multiple times in response to economic fluctuations and political changes.
