Belarusian ruble (BYN)

Currency

The Belarusian ruble, designated by the code BYN and symbol Br, is the official currency of Belarus. Subdivided into 100 kopeks, the current ruble was introduced in July 2016 at a redenomination rate of 1 BYN to 10,000 old rubles (BYR) to combat cumulative inflation effects. Issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, it replaced earlier post-Soviet ruble iterations that had been in place since 1992.
