Mongolian tugrik (MNT)

The Mongolian tugrik or tögrög (symbol: ₮, ISO code: MNT) is the official currency of Mongolia, issued by the Bank of Mongolia. Introduced in December 1925 to replace the Mongolian dollar and other circulating foreign currencies, it was initially pegged to the Soviet ruble at par. The tugrik is divided into 100 möngö, though smaller denomination coins and notes have largely ceased circulating due to economic changes.
