Lesotho loti (LSL)

The Lesotho loti (plural: maloti, ISO code: LSL) is the official currency of the Kingdom of Lesotho, issued by the Central Bank of Lesotho. Introduced in January 1980 to replace the South African rand at par, it is subdivided into 100 lisente. Under the Common Monetary Area agreement, the loti remains pegged at a 1:1 exchange rate with the South African rand, both of which are accepted as legal tender within the country.
