Bermudian dollar (BMD)

The Bermudian dollar, denoted by the symbol $ and coded as BMD, is the official currency of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda. Introduced in 1970 to replace the Bermudian pound at a rate of 1 pound to 2 dollars, it is divided into 100 cents. The Bermudian dollar is pegged at a strict 1 to 1 parity with the United States dollar, which also circulates freely alongside it.
