CFP franc (XPF)

Currency

The CFP franc, denoted by the ISO code XPF, is the currency used in the French overseas territories of French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Wallis and Futuna. Introduced in December 1945 to protect these Pacific territories from post-war devaluation of the French franc, it is issued by the IEOM. The currency maintains a fixed parity with the euro, guaranteed directly by the French treasury.
