Tongan Pa'anga (TOP)

The Tongan paʻanga (ISO code: TOP) is the official currency of the Kingdom of Tonga, introduced in 1967 to replace the Tongan pound at a rate of 2 paʻanga per pound. Issued by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga, it is subdivided into 100 seniti. The paʻanga is pegged to a basket of major foreign currencies including the Australian dollar, US dollar, and New Zealand dollar to ensure external macroeconomic stability.
