Czech koruna (CZK)

Currency

The Czech koruna (CZK, symbol Kč) is the official currency of the Czech Republic, issued by the Czech National Bank. Introduced in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, it replaced the Czechoslovak koruna at par. The koruna is subdivided into 100 haléřů, though physical coins for these subunits were fully withdrawn from circulation by 2008, leaving the whole koruna as the primary practical unit for physical cash transactions.
