Azerbaijani manat (AZN)

The Azerbaijani manat, symbolized by ₼ and coded as AZN under ISO 4217, is the official currency of Azerbaijan. It is subdivided into 100 qəpik. The current new manat was launched in January 2006, replacing the former manat (AZM) at a redenomination ratio of 1 AZN to 5,000 AZM. Issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the currency's stability was historically tied to a basket of foreign currencies.
