Croatian kuna (HRK)

The Croatian kuna (HRK, symbol kn) was the official currency of Croatia from May 1994 until December 2022, issued by the Croatian National Bank. Subdivided into 100 lipa, the kuna replaced the Croatian dinar at a rate of 1,000 dinars to one kuna. Named after the marten, whose fur was used as a historical trade standard, the kuna was officially replaced by the euro on January 1, 2023, at a fixed conversion rate of 7.53450 kuna per euro.
