Bahraini dinar (BHD)

The Bahraini dinar, designated by the ISO code BHD, is the official currency of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain, it was introduced in 1965 to replace the Gulf rupee at a conversion rate of ten rupees per dinar. The dinar is subdivided into 1,000 fils and maintains a fixed exchange rate peg to the United States dollar, making it one of the highest-valued currency units in the world.
