Pint (pt)
The Imperial pint (symbol: pt) is a unit of volume in the British Imperial system equal to 20 Imperial fluid ounces or one-eighth of an Imperial gallon. Defined as exactly 568.26125 milliliters (0.00056826125 cubic meters), it was codified by the Weights and Measures Act of 1824. Distinct from the smaller US pint, the Imperial pint remains widely used across the United Kingdom and Ireland, notably as the statutory measure for draft pub beverages.
