Bushel (bu)
A bushel (symbol: bu) is a unit of dry volume historically used in agriculture to measure crops such as grain and fruit. In the United States customary system, the bushel is defined as 2,150.42 cubic inches, which equals approximately 35.239 liters or 0.035239 cubic meters. Originating in medieval England as the Winchester bushel, physical volumetric measurement has largely been replaced in modern trade by standardized weight equivalents.
