Go

Volume

0.05 gal

The go is a traditional Japanese unit of volume equal to 1/10 of a sho or approximately 180.39 milliliters. Derived from the ancient Chinese weight and measure system, the go was historically standardized during the Meiji era as exactly 2401/13310 liters. It remains culturally significant in modern Japan as the standard unit for serving sake and measuring dry uncooked rice, where typical electronic rice cookers include a measuring cup calibrated to one go.
