Iraqi dunam

Area

2,989.98 yr²

The Iraqi dunam (or donum) is a traditional unit of land area utilized in Iraq, derived from the historical Ottoman dunam. Unlike the metric dunam adopted by many post-Ottoman states, the Iraqi dunam was formally standardized to equal 2,500 square metres (0.25 hectares or 25 ares). It remains the official and standard unit for agricultural land, real estate, and government land records throughout Iraq today.
