Alqueire mineiro
The alqueire mineiro is a traditional land area unit heavily used in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais and surrounding regions. It is defined as exactly 48,400 square metres (4.84 hectares), which is double the area of the alqueire paulista. Historically based on the land area sown by a specific measure of corn seed, it remains widely recognized in rural property trading alongside official metric units like the square metre and hectare.
