The alqueire do norte is a traditional Brazilian unit of land area utilized primarily in the northern and northeastern regions of the country. One alqueire do norte is defined as 27,225 square metres, equivalent to 2.7225 hectares or 2.7225 × 10⁴ square metres. Rooted in colonial Portuguese land surveying techniques, it remains in informal agricultural usage despite Brazil's formal transition to the metric system in the 19th century.
