1,600 yr²

The Cypriot dunam, also spelled donum, is a traditional unit of land area used in Cyprus, defined as exactly 14,400 square feet (1,600 square yards), which corresponds to approximately 1,337.8 square meters. Derived from the Ottoman dunam, the unit was standardized under British colonial administration in the nineteenth century and divided into 4 evlek, remaining a familiar customary measure in local property records alongside the hectare.
