Furlong
The furlong (symbol fur) is an imperial unit of length equal to 220 yards, 660 feet, 10 chains, or exactly 201.168 metres. Its origin stems from Old English farming, representing the distance a team of oxen could plow across a field without resting. Today, the furlong is primarily preserved in horse racing across Anglo-American countries to denote track distances, despite being largely superseded by metric units in mainstream land measurement.
