Foot (ft)
The foot (symbol ft or ′) is a unit of length in the imperial and US customary systems, defined since the International Yard and Pound Agreement of 1959 as exactly 0.3048 metres. Originally based on the average length of a human foot, variations existed across ancient civilizations and medieval Europe.
