Angstrom (Å)
The ångström (symbol Å) is a metric unit of length equal to 10⁻¹⁰ metres, or 0.1 nanometres. Named after Swedish physicist Anders Jonas Ångström, it is widely used in crystallography, atomic physics, and chemistry to measure atomic radii and chemical bond lengths. Although not officially part of the International System of Units (SI), its scale conveniently matches the physical dimensions of atoms and molecules.
