New Zealand dollar (NZD)

The New Zealand dollar (ISO code: NZD, symbol: $) is the official currency of New Zealand and its associated territories, issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Introduced in 1967 to replace the New Zealand pound at a rate of two dollars to one pound, it converted the country to a decimal monetary system. Subdivided into 100 cents, the currency—often colloquially called the Kiwi dollar—has floated freely on international markets since 1985.
