g-unit (g)

The g-unit, symbol g, is a non-SI unit of acceleration based on the nominal acceleration of gravity at Earth's surface. One g is equal to 9.80665 metres per second squared, following the standard value adopted by the 3rd General Conference on Weights and Measures in 1901. The unit is commonly used in aerospace, motorsport, and biomechanics to quantify the forces experienced by pilots, vehicles, and human bodies during sharp maneuvers.
