I need to work out individual wheel loadings. I have the measurements in kpa but need to convert these to kN. Is kN/m2 the same as kN? Please help |

Hi angelat,
kPa (http://www.convertworld.com/en/pressure/Kilopascal.html) is equivalent to kN/m2 but is not the same as kN (http://www.convertworld.com/en/force/Kilonewton.html). Newton is a measurement of force while Pascal measures pressure. Multiplying your kPa value with the area in square meters would give you the force in kN. Hope this helps, Jon |
